Ariana Hernandez Vera (Cuernavaca, 2003) is a versatile pianist and composer with a strong focus on contemporary music.

Her career includes performances at festivals such as NyMusikk, Tospann (Norway), impuls Festival (Austria), Time of Music (Finland), Oeiras Piano Festival (Portugal), Hosq Foundation (Armenia), Festival Aires (Mexico) and many others.

She is an artist-in-residence in the percept.concept.percept XIII program of the abeceda Institut (Netherlands/Slovenia) and serves as principal artist of the Piano Laboratory at Red Mexicana de Composición (Mexican Composition Network), fostering close collaborations and the creation of new works within Mexico's contemporary music scene and beyond.

Artistically, she has been influenced by her collaborations with prominent figures in classical and contemporary music interpretation, such as Bertrand Chamayou, Nicolas Hodges, Alfonso Gómez, Mark Knoop, Florian Hölscher, Stefan Wirth, Maiko Mori, Talvi Hunt, Dimitrios Polisoidis, Benedicte Palko, Meesun Coleman Hong, Pietro de Maria, among others, as well as composers, including Matthew Shlomowitz, Talia Amar and Asia Ahmetjanova.

Her musical journey began at the age of 3 in her hometown, where she studied with pianist and soprano Akie Ito Breton. From an early age, she performed regularly in Mexico across a variety of venues. At age 15, she was awarded a scholarship from the Heinrich-Fries-Stiftung in Munich (Germany), which enabled her to continue her studies with Prof. Aleksandra Romanic. She later pursued further training in Hamburg with Prof. Delphine Lizé and pianist Wera Wassiljeva.

She is currently studying at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz (Austria) under the guidance of Prof. Saskia Giorgini and Prof. Andreas Weixler and is a recipient of the Rotary Club Wels scholarship.

Additionally, she is part of the Artistic Enhancement Program at the Davidsbündler Academy in The Hague (Netherlands), founded by pianist Anna Fedorova, where she works with Prof. Borys Fedorov and the Divertimento Ensemble Academy in Milan (Italy) studying with Prof. Maria Grazia Bellocchio. She also receives regular mentorship from pianist Mathilde Hoursiangou in Vienna.

Alongside her classical training, she actively engages in chamber music, improvisation, jazz, computer music and media composition as well as the exploration of alternative instruments such as the toy piano. Her path as a musician reflects a profound commitment to artistic growth, curiosity, and the continuous seeking of diverse musical languages and expression forms.
