Cotidianidad is a work for piano, video, and electronics that explores the contradictions of everyday life. The day-to-day can feel beautiful, uncomfortable, sad, irritating, or comforting, sometimes all at once.

The piano serves as a familiar and recognizable medium, while the electronics introduce the sound of the Japanese koto, creating an unfamiliar presence within an otherwise familiar sound world. The video portrays everyday human moments, bringing attention to the small and often overlooked experiences that shape our daily lives.

The work plays with this tension between the familiar and the strange, the ordinary and the unexpected, creating a space where everyday life can be experienced from a slightly different perspective.
