Repetitive Behavior is an open-score ensemble work and an homage to the artist Lee Lozano. Based on her writings and reflections on human behaviour, the piece explores ideas of routine, movement, connection, emotion, and repetition, while experimenting with different forms of expression.
The performers are invited to interpret and respond through sound, movement, gesture, and interaction. Electronics incorporate spoken excerpts from Lozano’s writings, creating a dialogue between language, sound, and physical action. The open score leaves space for the performer’s individual choices, allowing each realization of the work to develop its own character.
